goats, pigs, and rodeo time, oh my!

Well, we endured our first stockshow, as parents!!! Boy how things have changed! What ever happened to just buying an animal feeding it for a few months and then fitting it for show time? Who knew that owning three little animals could be so complex and well, so involved? We really learned a lot this year and are already planning for next year's show! Riley really did a super job showing his animals. He placed 4th with one of his goats (out of a class of 20, I might add!) and made the sale! The other animals went without placing, but that didn't seem to phase him at all. Jaret wasn't really sure why he couldn't show "his" goat this year?! I think that this will be an issue that we will battle a little more each year. We have two more days of the rodeo and Riley is riding his new horse, Splash, in the grand entry.

Can you believe it? I actually created a blog! Now if I can only keep up with posting to it on a weekly basis?! (Well, that's the goal, anyhow!LOL) I was so inspired to create my own after viewing my friend and business compadre's blogspot. My life has been completely changed by having such an amazing person in my life! (Liz, you know who you are!) I have never really been one to keep a diary, but the computer has become my new friend! Randy and I have a laptop in our bedroom and we generally sit in bed and check our e-mail and shop or surf the net nightly!!! This time of the evening seems most appropriate for me to blog because I am actually sitting still (yes, ME!) and have no interuptions. My mind is the least clouded with thoughts of where I am supposed to be, what I am supposed to be doing, etc. I hope that you will come back and check out our blogspot!
